Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 to 2 years required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in telemetry and cardiac telemetry - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response - Proficiency in pre and post cardiac catheterization care - Knowledge of sepsis management, wound care, and caring for patients with renal failure, AFIB, GIB, or stroke Description: We are seeking a registered nurse to join our progressive care unit. The nurse will operate with a patient ratio of 1:5. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Nurses will be required to work a minimum of 8 weekend shifts in a six-week schedule period, including combinations of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Holiday shifts may also be needed based on unit requirements. This position involves floating among various departments. The nurse will not have a designated home unit and will float between several med/surg and intermediate care units as needed. Candidates should have experience in managing patients with various medical conditions. Skills in intravenous therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care are essential. Experience with feeding tube care and cardiac sheath removal is preferred. Candidates must be prepared to float to other locations if required. Additional skills desired include proficiency in time-sensitive conditions and technologies.
