About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of its finance organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial functions, including working capital management, cash and treasury, financial systems and process improvement, and operational finance. This hands-on leadership position requires a strong accounting foundation, a focus on systems and processes, and the ability to partner effectively with operations. The VP of Finance will also be tasked with driving improvements in cash conversion, inventory investment, and collections, as well as leading the development of the inventory and cost accounting function. Applicants for the VP of Finance role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive finance and accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on working capital, cash forecasting, and treasury. A deep understanding of inventory and cost accounting in an inventory-intensive business is essential, as is experience with retail fulfillment, EDI, and related operational accounting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of partnering with operations and supply chain, and a technical accounting foundation that includes oversight of financial reporting, month-end close, audit, tax, and internal controls. A CPA and/or Big 4 public accounting experience is strongly preferred, as is a background in CPG, food and beverage, consumer products, manufacturing, retail, or another inventory-intensive business. Success in this role will be measured by the candidate's ability to provide better visibility and control over cash and working capital, develop scalable finance systems and processes, and ensure a strong, capable finance organization that can support the company's growth.
