Maintenance Technician

Job Location: Bronson, MI 49028 Salary Range: $27.00 - $33.00 Hourly Position Overview The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all aspects of the Bronson powder coating and distribution facility. This hands‑on role supports the powder coating line, material handling systems, and general facility infrastructure. The position focuses on preventative maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, welding, and continuous improvement of equipment reliability to support safe and efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair all facility equipment, including the powder coating line and distribution areas Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities across the entire facility Own, execute, and continuously improve a documented preventative maintenance (PM) schedule Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed Maintain and service powder coating equipment and related systems Complete facility repairs, including light woodworking and general maintenance projects Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment safely Lead and provide day‑to‑day directions to a Facilities Porter Complete maintenance projects on time and according to plan Maintain a clean, safe, and functional work environment Qualifications & Skills Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills (required) Welding experience (required) Powder coating equipment maintenance experience (required) Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment Ability to follow and improve preventative maintenance programs High School Diploma or GED Work Environment This role is based in an active industrial manufacturing and powder coating facility. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will work hands‑on throughout the plant, including production, powder coating, and distribution areas. The environment requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds, as well as the use of forklifts, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing setting. The technician is expected to be on their feet for the majority of the shift while performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility improvement projects. #J-18808-Ljbffr
