Plant Controller

A well-established and growing manufacturer serving some of the most advanced technology and infrastructure markets is seeking a Plant Controller to lead the accounting function for a complex manufacturing operation in the Bay Area . This is a highly visible leadership role and will partner closely with operations leadership, own the site's financial performance, and play a key role in driving process improvements and operational excellence. What You'll Do Lead all site accounting activities and oversee month-end close. Own the plant P&L and provide insightful variance analysis to leadership. Partner with Operations to ensure accurate costing, gross margin reporting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing financial performance. Oversee revenue recognition, intercompany allocations, and general ledger activities. Review inventory controls, cycle count programs, labor absorption, standard costing, and manufacturing variances. Identify and implement process improvements across accounting and operational finance functions. Support audits, compliance requirements, and internal controls. Mentor and develop accounting staff while serving as a hands-on leader and business partner. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing accounting environment. Prior experience as a Plant Controller, Site Controller, Assistant Controller, or Manufacturing Controller. Experience supporting operations within a larger manufacturing organization Strong understanding of: Inventory accounting, Cost accounting, Manufacturing variances, Labor and overhead absorption, Standard costing methodologies and Revenue recognition Advanced ERP experience required.
