Position Overview

Engtal is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support its coil coating operation in Fairland, IN. This is a 100% hands-on, floor-based maintenance role supporting production equipment and plant utilities in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical maintenance background while also being mechanically capable of troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.

Schedule

• 3rd Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

• 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule - 2 days on

  • 2 days off
  • 3 days on
  • 3 days off
  • Rotation continues year-round

• 12-hour shifts with built-in overtime opportunities

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, controls, sensors, and industrial wiring
• Repair and maintain gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, couplings, pumps, and rotating equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Maintain plant utilities including boilers, evaporators, wastewater treatment equipment, and compressed air systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
• Document completed work in the CMMS
• Follow OSHA safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

Qualifications Required

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Must supply your own hand tools
• Comfortable working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment

Preferred

• Experience in steel, aluminum, coil coating, or other heavy manufacturing environments
• CMMS experience
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Predictive maintenance experience

Work Environment

• 100% on the production floor
• Heavy industrial manufacturing facility
• Non-temperature-controlled environment
• Exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment
• PPE required at all times
• Frequent standing, climbing, bending, lifting, and working around production machinery
