HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Duties
You will be responsible for servicing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy mobile equipment.
You will be responsible for repairing/overhauling at least one type of major system, i.e., diesel, multi-fuel, and gasoline engines, automatic/non-automatic transmissions, multi-gear assemblies, and a variety of positioning systems.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting, tracing, and locating defects and causes of mechanical problems to determine type and extent of necessary repairs.
You will be responsible for complying with appropriate repair specifications and procedures.
You will be responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance and services on various complex electrical devices, equipment, and components.
You will be responsible for guiding and training lower graded employees.
You will be responsible for sketching, removing, identifying, manufacturing, installing, and repairing sheet metal components of motor transport equipment and a variety of heavy mobile equipment vehicles.
You will performs refrigeration mechanics; installs, operates, and repairs refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems.
You will prototype and review new overhaul and test procedures on items being introduced into the workload.
