Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular ICU RN with Impella, IABP, and post open heart care experience for a hospital assignment in Oklahoma City.

Details

• Cardiovascular ICU setting within a hospital
• Patients requiring Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart day 2 care
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact (eNLC) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Experience with Impella, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, and post open heart recovery care required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of ICU cardiovascular patients
• Monitors and documents patient responses to treatments and interventions, notifying physicians of changes
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians with diagnostic procedures and minor treatments
• Communicates care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Strict compliance deadlines apply; onboarding must begin immediately upon offer
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks prior to start date
• Returning workers may only extend once for a maximum of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
