Job Description
Trauma Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Trauma Nurse responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This role requires flexibility and teamwork as you will rotate through various departments.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to trauma patients, both pediatric and adult.
Rotate through different departments including surgery, emergency room, and pediatric units.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Perform assessments, document patient data, and administer medications as prescribed.
Monitor patient progress and adapt care strategies as necessary.

Qualifications

Current nursing license required.
Proven experience in trauma care or emergency nursing preferred.
Current certifications including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Hepatitis B.
Documentation of annual negative PPD or alternate testing (IGRA/QFT) required.
Successful completion of a fit test and physical health statement.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background checks as part of the onboarding process.

Professional Requirements

Complete UHS Skills Checklist and Competency Exam.
Maintain documentation for driver's license and submit required employment forms.
Participate in ongoing education and training as required.

Health and Safety Requirements

Documentation of Influenza vaccine and COVID-19 vaccination (optional).
UHS OIG search clearance required.
