Make a lasting impact supporting students’ communication and learning as a contract-based speech-language pathologist at vibrant educational campuses near Port Saint Lucie, FL. Two exciting opportunities are available for experienced SLPs (with CCC) eager to work on-site and collaborate with dedicated school teams.
Assignments include:
- K-8 campus, MAT leave coverage from October 5th through December 18th, overseeing a diverse caseload that includes several ASD units alongside a fellow SLP.
- High school campus, MAT leave coverage from September through October 20th, managing a secondary-level caseload. Assistance from an SLPA is provided onsite two days per week.Each assignment is for one campus only, allowing you to focus your skills and build meaningful student relationships.
Key qualifications for success:
- Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and active Florida SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with K-8 and/or high school populations, including students with ASD or diverse communication needs
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing and fingerprinting (may be expedited if previously cleared through AHCA)
In this full-time (35-hour/week) contract role, you’ll:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and maintain detailed documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized education planning
- Provide consultation and support to school staff as needed
