Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Spindle is partnering with a supportive school district in Galt, CA, to bring on a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity will support a Structured Autism Kindergarten classroom and is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping students build communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and academic skills in a highly supportive environment.

Special Education Teacher Job Description:

Structured Autism Kindergarten

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that support each student's unique academic, behavioral, communication, and developmental needs.
• Deliver specialized instruction in a structured classroom environment designed to foster independence, engagement, and growth.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional practices, visual supports, behavior strategies, and individualized accommodations to support student success.
• Collaborate closely with families, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
• Monitor student progress, maintain special education documentation, and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Active California Education Specialist Credential (Extensive Support Needs/ Moderate to Severe)
• Candidates with Moderate/Severe backgrounds ONLY
• Experience supporting students with autism and diverse learning needs preferred

Pay & Benefits:

• Highly competitive compensation to commensurate with experience (up to $55 an hour)

• 20–30 minute virtual interview with the school district
