Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Carolina Apothecary Main Store – Reidsville, NC 27320Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: PharmaceuticalGeneral Function: Duties and Responsibilities: Perform pharmacist tasks including dispensing, compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines Provide counseling on medication usage, side effects, and precautions to customers and caregivers Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding of medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards. Perform immunizations on a regular basis Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other support staff Assist pharmacy manager with establishing procedures that promotes the efficient workflow of the pharmacy Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge with staff training Responsible for the opening and closing of the pharmacy Maintain a positive attitude Excellent customer service skills with a customer focused attitude Motivate, inspire and assist with development of pharmacy support staff Promote teamwork and motivate team members Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Characteristics: Retail pharmacy experience Long-term care pharmacy experience a plus Compounding experience a plus Clinical Pharmacy Practitioner a plus Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent team player skills Strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy School; preferably with a Pharm.
