Senior Internal Auditor

Corporate Audit Team MemberAssist the Corporate Audit team in providing independent, objective, audit assurance and consulting activity to management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Assigned activities will include assessment and testing for Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as operational and compliance reviews.What You'll Contribute:Promoting an awareness of the importance of effective internal controls and corporate governance practicesAssisting with execution of an enterprise risk management frameworkAssisting with the execution of the annual audit planCoordination and documentation of transaction walkthroughsAssessing the design of internal controls and performing tests of operating effectivenessCoordinating with business process owners regarding effective IPE proceduresClose coordination with external audit. All work to be performed in a manner that allows maximum audit relianceDevelop and present recommendations to management to mitigate risksAssisting management in the development of remediation plans for any identified control deficienciesProviding advisory services for new processes, applications or system functionalityPerforming special projects or investigations as neededPreparing written reports and other communications to management, external auditors, and the Audit CommitteeRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Technical / Business experience requiredStrong knowledge of auditing concepts, GAAP, SOX, COSO and risk-assessment practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to use PC-based automated software tools and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levelsThis position requires excellent analytical, technical accounting, audit and communication skills.Additionally, the position will require assessment of risks and appropriate tailoring of audit approach.Preferred Qualifications:CPA or other audit related professional designation preferred4-7 years relevant work experience preferredTravel: Up to 20% travel may be requiredCompensation for this job is subject to market conditions, geographic considerations, the candidate's unique skills and experience, state and local laws, and budget.
