Senior Director of Engineering (Greensboro)

Reference: PR/598422_1782337325Position SummaryDSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading nutrition brand who is looking to add on a Senior Director of Engineering to their team in the greater Greensboro area. The Senior Director of Engineering will lead and oversee all engineering functions in support of a large-scale manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for developing both short- and long-term strategies across manufacturing, packaging, process controls, and facilities engineering. The position also includes ownership of organizational design, technology roadmaps, and performance management focused on safety, quality, service, and cost.Key ResponsibilitiesLead manufacturing engineering operations to drive best-in-class performance through strategic initiatives and continuous improvement effortsEstablish and enforce engineering standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiencyEnsure compliance with all applicable internal and external regulatory requirementsDevelop and deliver reporting and data analysis to support performance tracking and strategic decision-makingPartner cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and product teams to support new and existing product needsContribute to and maintain business continuity plans for manufacturing operationsIdentify and implement innovative technologies, systems, and processes to enhance operational capabilitiesEnsure engineering resources and project execution align with operational and business needsLead capital investment planning and execution for the siteSupport long-term facility and operational planning initiativesOversee environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and initiativesPerform additional duties as neededProvide leadership and direction to engineering and EHS teams, including full-time staff and external contractors/consultantsBuild, develop, and retain high-performing teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptabilityQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree is considered a plus.12+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing and engineering leadership rolesExperience managing engineering operations in a complex manufacturing environmentKnowledge of materials, processes, and equipment and their impact on productionExperience in regulated industries such as food, dietary supplements, or pharmaceuticals, including familiarity with cGMP requirementsDemonstrated experience in troubleshooting, process optimization, and equipment performance improvementExperience leading facility upgrades and expansion projectsProven ability to develop and implement engineering processes, systems, and organizational structures
