Position Overview U.S. Bank is seeking an effective Senior Program/Project Manager with demonstrated project management and leadership experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and direct larger, more complex program(s) in support of overall strategy. Provide direction to project staff assigned to projects and stages within program. Establish governance and drive all aspects to ensure that assigned program(s) is implemented, accepted, and operating effectively. Translate corporate objectives into program objectives and practices. Serve as liaison and build bridges and relationships with sponsoring executives and among different groups within and outside of technology and operations. Work directly with the business line to understand business objectives and strategies related to project priorities. Consolidate projects under program-level umbrella to provide focal point for communications. Manage communications regarding project and program management practices that create clear, concise requirements in program and project functionality, resourcing, budgets, and timings. Oversee projects from initial concept through final implementation utilizing approved project methodology/tools and within enterprise standards and guidelines. Organize and manage a high-quality, cross-functional program team by providing work direction and coaching/mentoring to assigned project managers and coordinators. Construct a program reporting and tracking framework and benchmarks. Provide oversight to projects to meet established function, quality, cost, and schedule. Escalate issues and risks to appropriate level. May manage a staff of up to 100 employees, including recommendations for hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards, and reviews. Plan, develop, and control moderate to large project/product budgets. Lead selection and adoption of specific tools to facilitate compliance with established methodologies. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. At least 10 years of experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling IT projects. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in system development life cycle. Extensive experience in document management. Proficiency with MS Project. Subject matter expert in project control and reporting. Subject matter expert in project planning and organization. Subject matter expert in IT project management.
