Job Overview The Data Analyst will work in Bloomingdales’ Data & Analytics department to build reporting and generate insights for our business stakeholders that allow them to assess the success of and make improvements to marketing tactics and site performance. The data analyst will collaborate with many teams across every function of the business and will build key reporting & dashboards to drive business decisions and key operational processes. This role will combine a strong set of technical skills with a high level of business strategy acumen and collaborative communication to deliver insights that allow our stakeholders to make informed and dynamic business decisions. Essential Functions

• Translate business needs into well-defined analytics projects
• Execute advanced analytics, business intelligence (BI), and reporting that

aids data-driven business decision making and process automation * Cross-communicate between analysts and business teams, including senior leaders * Think logically toward problem solving with keen insights for business solutions and the analytical steps required to execute them through dashboards and reports * Work with Data Science Team to conduct A/B tests and measure performance of model deployments; serve as point of contact to business for tactical implementation and presentation of results * Work with Data Engineering team as required to implement data pipelines and tools to ensure efficient and seamless execution of analytics * Using customer value segmentation and customer lifetime value to target different customer groups and implement individualization efforts in our business * Community builder to foster data and analytics culture and to support data-driven thinking and discussions across priority analytics use case

data-driven culture at Macy's * Support user adoption of analytical tools and methods and embrace data in strategic business decisions Qualifications and Competencies * Bachelor’s degree required, engineering, business, finance, data science, computer science, or other relevant fields of study preferred. * Demonstrated track record of proficiency working in advanced analytics (1-2 years minimum).

• SQL experience required; Python preferred.
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
• Ability to conduct qualitative market research and perform qualitative

analysis, identify trends and patterns in the data and tell a compelling story through visualization and presentation. * Experience in leveraging data cleaning, transformation, analytics and reporting from large data sets to support use cases and drive business value. * Experience with Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS) and big data processing technologies (Redshift, Big Query) is a plus. * Working in an Agile or Scrum environment with a cross functional and globally distributed team with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. * Ability to collaborate and work closely with cross-functional teams - Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, business and solution architects and partners. * Excellent communication skills, especially when it comes to requirements gathering, communicating with stakeholders, and summarizing and presenting analysis. * Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically. Essential Physical Requirements * Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching and climbing ladders. * Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions. * Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs.
