Experienced Dental Scheduler — Atlanta, GA
We are looking for an organized, energetic, and patient-focused Dental Scheduler to join our growing dental practice in Atlanta.
The right person will be more than someone who answers the phone and books appointments. We are looking for a proactive scheduler who understands how to build and maintain a productive schedule while providing an excellent patient experience.
What you’ll do
● Schedule new and existing patients
● Coordinate doctor and hygiene schedules
● Schedule appointments according to appropriate procedure times
● Fill cancellations and open appointments
● Maintain and work an active short-call list
● Confirm appointments and reschedule broken appointments
● Reactivate overdue patients
● Coordinate emergency appointments
● Monitor the schedule throughout the day
● Identify opportunities to improve schedule productivity
● Communicate closely with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front-office team members
● Answer phones/texts/emails and handle patient questions professionally
● Provide a warm and welcoming patient experience
We’re looking for someone who
● Has previous dental scheduling/front-office experience
● Understands dental procedures and appointment lengths
● Is highly organized and detail-oriented
● Has excellent phone and communication skills
● Can multitask in a fast-paced environment
● Is proactive rather than reactive
● Is dependable and accountable
● Works well with a team
● Has experience with Open dental or similar dental software
Compensation
$20–$30/hour, depending on experience.
