You'll work alongside passionate, driven teammates who take pride in building something that truly matters.If you're looking for a career-defining opportunity to lead automation at a next-generation facility and make a meaningful impact, we invite you to join us.Overview: The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all electrical systems and equipment throughout the plant, providing leadership, resource management, coaching and technical expertise to engineers, supervisors, and technicians in the electrical maintenance department. Coordinate electrical design and development of new equipment and the modification of existing electrical equipment consistent with plant standards and for the improvement of plant performance.Basic qualifications and/or traits that the Electrical Engineer must possess include:Some electrical troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a continuous-process manufacturing environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and vendorsAbility to lead technical problem-solving and continuous-improvement initiatives.Budgeting and cost managementSome knowledge of PLC programming and process control systemsStrong planning and organizational skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail.The ability to provide technical support during shutdowns, outages, equipment failures, and other operational emergencies, which may occasionally require work outside normal business hours.Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and CMMS systemsAbility to work outdoors in demanding physical conditions including walking over rough and uneven surfaces, climbing ladders up to 20 feet and stairs, bending, pushing, pulling, and working in awkward positions, working in confined spaces, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.Ability to pass required background checks, physical examination, and drug screening.Responsibilities: The Electrical Engineer is a front line employee accountable for managing MCC's electrical and automation systems while working with personnel from other MCC departments. This individual's responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensure reliable operations of electrical equipment including motors, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), generators, and electrical distribution systems.Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.Support installation of new plant equipment from conception to operation.
