BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Shipping Technician for an opportunity in Chesterfield, MO 63005

Position Title: Pharmacy Shipping Technician

Location: Chesterfield, MO 63005

Expected Duration: 6 months with Possible of extension

Pay Rate: $23/hr

Shift time: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week; shifts between 8:00 AM–6:00 PM CST

 

Position Purpose:

We are seeking a Pharmacy Shipping Technician to join the shipping fulfillment team. This role will support medication shipping operations, help manage increased workload during the ScriptMed Cloud conversion , assist with remaining testing, and provide coverage while an FTE is on leave.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of shipping, receiving, packing, warehouse, ordering, or logistics experience , strong attention to detail, critical-thinking skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy fulfillment environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Determine the best shipping method based on patient-care and cost considerations.
• Package medications, supplies, and required documentation for shipment.
• Prepare accurate shipping labels and verify patient/customer information.
• Sort packages according to delivery method and ensure proper storage before shipment.
• Monitor shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Follow up with patients, customers, and shipping vendors when needed.
• Coordinate delivery claims and related documentation.
• Monitor and record refunds and reimbursements from claims.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and vendor correspondence.
• Complete all required documentation for medication and supply deliveries.
• Obtain required signatures and return documentation to the pharmacy.
• Sort and distribute incoming packages.
• Handle office mail, packages, supplies, equipment, and other materials as needed.
• Use carts and other small moving equipment to transport materials and equipment.
• Process certified, registered, express, and other shipments according to applicable procedures.

 

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, packing, ordering, warehouse, logistics, or a related environment.
• Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required.
• • Candidates who are not currently licensed may be considered but must apply for the Missouri Pharmacy Technician License on Day 1 .
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet applications .
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong accountability and ability to follow procedures.
• Comfortable handling confidential information.
