Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• No on-call or callback requirements; contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours taken in hour increments as needed
• Care for Neuro ICU patient population including Stroke, TBI, head injury, and Neurosurgery patients in an 8-bed Neuro unit
• Primary procedures include Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures such as line placement and intubation
• Neuro-specific procedures include bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery and future Neuro interventional patient care
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background and strong Neuro assessment skills required
• 1 travel assignment preferred
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
• Experience as Neuro Interventionalist a plus
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Any scrub color permitted
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility

The Neuro ICU operates as an 8-bed unit dedicated to caring for patients with complex neurological conditions, supported by a multidisciplinary team including Neurosurgery. The facility maintains high standards of care across its critical care units and emphasizes a strong, collaborative work environment for both staff and traveling healthcare professionals.
