Job Title: Reach Truck Operator (Food Distrubution Center)

Job Description

This role focuses on safely operating reach trucks and related warehouse equipment to unload freight, move palletized materials, and replenish inventory in a large, high-volume distribution center. You work an early-morning shift from 3:00 a.m. until the end of production, typically around 11:30 a.m., with scheduled off days that will be confirmed on your first day. You support order selectors by ensuring product is accurately stored, moved, and staged using RF scanning technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach trucks, deep reach trucks, and stand-up forklifts safely.
• Unload freight and move palletized products throughout the warehouse.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and product locations.
• Store products in warehouse racking (put-away).
• Replenish inventory by moving pallets from upper racks to lower pick locations.
• Follow warehouse procedures to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Meet productivity goals for speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Work independently while maintaining safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Keep work areas clean and report equipment or inventory issues.

• Experience operating reach trucks or deep reach forklifts.
• Experience with stand-up forklifts.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse technology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet productivity and performance goals.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and non-climate-controlled environments.

• Experience operating Crown reach trucks or similar equipment.
• Distribution center or warehouse experience.
• Experience supporting order pickers and replenishment operations.
• Familiarity with warehouse performance metrics.
• Ability to adapt to changing workloads and schedules.

• Large distribution center handling grocery products.
• Work in both:
  • Room-temperature warehouse areas
  • Refrigerated warehouse areas
• Clean and organized facility.
• Daily use of:
  • Reach trucks
  • Deep reach trucks
  • Stand-up forklifts
  • RF scanners
  • Warehouse headsets
• Fast-paced environment focused on productivity and safety.

• Shift: 3:00 AM until production ends (typically around 11:30 AM).
• Days Off: Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday (assigned after hire).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
