School Nurse (RN) All BoroughsCompensation Hourly Rate $65-$75 hourly Locations: (all 5 boroughs) Staten Island, Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens.Position Summary: A school nurse supports the physical, mental, and emotional health of students by providing medical care, managing chronic conditions, and responding to health emergencies. They also promote wellness, maintain health records, and work with families and school staff to ensure students are healthy and ready to learn.Responsibilities:Providing basic medical careTreating minor injuries and illnessesAdministering medications prescribed by healthcare providersManaging emergencies such as asthma attacks, allergic reactions, seizures, or injuriesSupporting students with diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, ADHD, and other conditionsCreating and monitoring individualized healthcare plans.Keeping confidential medical documentationRecording treatments and incidents.Informing parents about health concerns or emergenciesCollaborating with teachers, administrators, and healthcare providersRequirements:Current New York State RN licenseBLS certification (AHA required)Must have current BLS/CPR card, Malpractice Insurance, and PhysicalFull medical clearance including COVID-19 vaccinationSkills:Must have at least 1 year of RN experience in any fieldPediatric experience is preferred, but not mandatoryStrong clinical skills to provide medical care, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and manage student health conditions safely.Good communication, organization, problem-solving, empathy, and teamwork skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and healthcare providers.Benefits Per Diem / Temporary (Hourly) Roles:Comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and visionCompany-paid Basic Life/AD&D and Long-Term Disability for employees working 30+ hours/weekPaid sick leave may be available based on hours worked and state lawsBenefit offerings are subject to legal requirements, eligibility status, and work locationEmployees 21+ can participate in the 401(k) Savings PlanAbout Us: RCM Healthcare Services works with professionals across schools, healthcare, and community-based settings nationwide.
