Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as an Intervention Specialist supporting high school students in an onsite, full-time contract role for the 2026-2027 academic year. Located conveniently near Pataskala, OH, this opportunity allows you to work collaboratively within a supportive educational environment while delivering essential special education services to diverse learners.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist (OH IS) license/certification is required
Experience teaching in inclusive and co-taught high school settings preferred
Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
Strong understanding of various disabilities and individualized learning strategies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture

Role Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction and academic support to high school students in two co-taught classrooms
Partner with general education teachers to adapt lessons and accommodate varied learning needs
Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
Use data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and adjust strategies accordingly
Engage in ongoing communication with parents, teachers, and support staff regarding student success
Participate in professional development to stay current on special education best practices

This contract position offers a consistent 32.5-hour work week from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, providing you with the chance to work alongside dedicated professionals and truly make a difference in the lives of students.
