Job Title: Electronics Assembly Technician – Control Panel Boards
Job Description

This role focuses on assembling electronic components for control panel boards in a manufacturing production environment. You will work with small tools, electronic parts, and wiring, following detailed instruction drawings and diagrams to build high-quality panel boards using various soldering techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components for control panel boards according to daily instruction drawings and written diagrams.
• Handle small electronic parts, wires, and hardware with precision and care during the assembly process.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to build, fasten, and secure components on panel boards.
• Apply various soldering techniques to connect and secure electronic components and wiring.
• Operate basic production and assembly equipment as required by the department.
• Follow assembly instructions carefully to ensure accurate and consistent builds.
• Perform basic quality inspection on completed assemblies to verify that they meet specifications and standards.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean workstation in a shared production environment.
• Collaborate with other production team members working in close proximity on similar tasks.
• Adhere to all manufacturing procedures, safety guidelines, and production schedules.

• Previous manufacturing experience in a production or assembly environment.
• Experience with assembly work, including following written diagrams and instructions.
• Ability to read and work from instruction drawings, written diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Comfort working with small electronic parts, wires, and components.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools and small power tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic soldering skills and familiarity with various soldering techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspection on assembled products.
• Capability to operate production or machine equipment as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, fast-paced production floor environment.

• Previous experience in electronics assembly or control panel board assembly is preferred.
• Machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment may be considered, depending on departmental needs.
• Experience with quality inspection processes in production or electronics manufacturing.
• Comfort working from technical documentation, including diagrams, drawings, and written instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively in close proximity to other team members on a shared production floor.

Work Environment

The role is based on a medium-sized production floor that is divided into multiple departments, each focused on specific manufacturing tasks. Workstations are fairly close together, and several employees perform similar work in the same area, creating a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The space does not have a large amount of open floor area between stations, so comfort working in a structured, closely arranged production setting is important. Daily work involves using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment, and following detailed assembly instructions and diagrams in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
