Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that target specific short-term objectives or broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver speech therapy interventions tailored to improve communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and family members to ensure progress continues outside of therapy sessions.
• Support the occasional need for inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing a seamless treatment experience.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation as per state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying enlightened on innovations in the field through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by the appropriate governmental agency.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is advantageous.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
