Job Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations employing standardized tools and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that meet both immediate objectives and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions concentrated on fluency, language, voice, and swallowing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Sometimes assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity throughout the recovery journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional collaboration to remain abreast of advancements in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
