Description
- Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized tests and observational methodologies.
- Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, vocal clarity, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design integrated care approaches.
- Provide educational resources to patients and families to aid progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive care throughout the recovery journey.
- Maintain precise and prompt documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage in ongoing education and collaborative learning with colleagues to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet holding ASHA certification.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for individuals of all ages, with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Adept at modifying therapy methods to cater to varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical judgment paired with excellent problem-solving skills.
