Description
  • Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized tests and observational methodologies.
  • Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, vocal clarity, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to design integrated care approaches.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to aid progress beyond clinical sessions.
  • Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive care throughout the recovery journey.
  • Maintain precise and prompt documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and collaborative learning with colleagues to stay at the forefront of advancements in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet holding ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for individuals of all ages, with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
