Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessment methods and observational techniques.
• Design tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focused on communication enhancement, language development, fluency improvement, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Foster collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish unified care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress outside of therapeutic sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring consistency in care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay informed of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collegial interaction.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
