New Hire Specialist

A Day in The Life Of A Waste Connections Recruiting New Hire Specialist:

We are a busy, high-energy company so your time will be spent assisting the Recruiting team with the hiring process.

Your relationships with the recruiters you support is crucial. Expect daily communication with them as you are their partner to ensure candidates have a positive experience during the offer process.

We are looking for someone who is motivated for growth, and desires opportunities for advancement within the recruiting department.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assists field recruiters on the backend hiring process including preparing offer letters, initiating pre-employment background checks, initiating pre-employment drug test, MVR and DOT application

• Effectively track executed offer letters and manually upload into applicant tracking system

• Appropriately and accurately track candidate progress from offer to start date

• Consistent follow up/follow through to ensure a positive candidate experience

• Liaison between candidate and third-party systems

• Assist with Indeed job postings, and assist with virtual interviews

• Occasionally assist recruiters in scheduling face to face interviews with field

• Provide daily updates to recruiters to ensure candidates are moving through the process in a timely manner

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in a Recruiting or HR Coordinator position

• Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems, and candidate management systems

• Ability to self-monitor; meet recruiting deadlines and work with little supervision in a fast-paced, high activity environment and with a positive attitude

• Strong organizational and time management skills with a natural ability to manage competing priorities

• Great attention to detail

• Motivated for growth opportunities, preferred

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred

• College degree preferred
