Data Analyst/ScientistA major client of ours has a need for a Data Analyst/Scientist. This is a long-term contract (Potentially 2 years) and the position is remote but EST/CST is preferred.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Data Analyst/Scientist to support a Customer Analytics and Digital Products team within a large utility organization. This role will analyze large-scale utility and customer datasets, identify trends and data quality issues, develop dashboards and reporting, and provide actionable insights that support customer-facing digital products and business initiatives.The ideal candidate has meaningful utility industry and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) data experience, strong analytical and data validation skills, and the ability to translate complex technical findings into clear business recommendations.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze large utility datasets, including AMI usage, Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), and customer engagement data.Review and validate data extracts, vendor dashboards, and multi-source datasets for data quality issues, anomalies, trends, and common themes.Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, visualizations, and recurring reporting to track key business and customer metrics.Analyze customer engagement, product performance, billing outcomes, and other key performance indicators.Support customer-facing digital products, including rate recommendation and bill comparison tools, using historical usage and billing data.Track and analyze website and digital product engagement, including page views, clicks, and customer interactions.Partner with Product Owners, engineers, business SMEs, and other stakeholders to support data integrations, testing, validation, and product enhancements.Investigate data discrepancies and anomalies and help identify root causes and potential solutions.Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders.Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a regulated utility environment.Required Qualifications & Critical Skills2+ years of professional data analysis experience, including experience analyzing large data extracts or datasets.Hands-on utility industry and AMI data experience is required.
