Job TitleLocation: Sylvan Hills Jr. High, 10001 Johnson Street, Sherwood, AR 72120Qualifications:Experience in custodial work or willingness to learnAbility to do physical laborReports To: Building Principal/Area SupervisorJob Goal: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.Performance Responsibilities:Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.Vacuum and clean carpet.Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.Clean up grounds and perform the routine tasks required in the care of the grounds.Move office and school furniture as needed.Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.Perform some heavy lifting.Perform other duties as assigned.Terms of Employment:Salary Range: Range 1 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($15.00/hr. - $21.06/hr. depending on relevant experience)Length of Contract: 182 contract days, 8 hours per dayFLSA Status: Non-exemptPersonnel Status: ClassifiedBenefits Eligible: YesEvaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.Application Procedure:Interested and qualified applicants should submit an online application at Personnel currently employed by the District who meet the necessary qualifications may apply by submitting an online District application.Application Deadline: August 18, 2026 (or until filled - emergency posting)PCSSD does not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, race, color, national origin, or gender in any service, program, or activity (including in admission, access, treatment, employment, or vocational opportunities).
