Job Summary:
The Newton, New Jersey, area is seeking a Perioperative Assessment and Planning Registered Nurse (PAT RN) for a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) position. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, delivering clinical care, and ensuring documentation accuracy in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: This position offers a 4-day workweek with 9.5-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification; 2 years of critical care experience; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves assessment skills across diverse patient populations, clinical procedures, documentation responsibilities, patient satisfaction emphasis, safety protocols including Universal Protocol and patient identifiers, and unit-specific care for surgical patients undergoing various procedures. Responsibilities also include pre- and post-operative education and evaluation of patient understanding and reactions. The position requires participating in on-call ST-elevated myocardial infarction (STEMI) coverage, with 10-12 shifts per month, including 1 to 2 weekends (Friday 5 pm to Monday 7 am).
