Phlebotomist-Bilingual (Spanish)

Job Location Newton, NJ. Schedule Wednesday/Thursday 8:00am-4:00pm; Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm; two Saturdays a month. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist. 1 year or more experience drawing blood from children. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Preferred Qualifications 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency (if no work experience). Proven track record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Pay $17.75 - $24.00 per hour (based on skills and experience).
