Wicker Point Club House - Head Bartender

Responsible for maintaining bar outlets of Wicker Point Golf Club in a manner most pleasing to members and guests. The Bar Manager will lead WPGC’s personnel in a positive manner and oversee the daily operations of the beverage department. The Bar Manager will monitor inventory levels alongside the Assistant Manager and help to implement operating procedures within the beverage department. Job Responsibilities Works with the Assistant Manager in implementing a beverage program that includes wine, beer, and cocktails. Maintains bar product and supplies inventory. Assists Assistant manager in planning promotional strategies and materials and develops recipes to improve the beverage program for members and guests. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all bar areas, glassware, and equipment through regular inspections. Follow standard operating procedures to help ensure that bars are set up and operated efficiently within all areas at WPGC. Inspects bar prior to every shift to ensure there are enough prepped garnishes, fresh pressed juices, liquors, beers, wines, and mixers to ensure smooth operation of every bar. Ensures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed. Assist Dining Room Manager to provide efficient and exceptional beverage service at WPGC. Ensure that all safety and sanitation procedures implemented in the club are properly followed at all bar areas at WPGC. Keeps current with changing member preferences and industry trends relevant to the beverage industry. Procures additional supplies for the bar as necessary. Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur. Maintains daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demand. The Bar Manager should have the ability mix, prepare, serve, and train others on drinks in the beverage program. Cleans and lockups according to prescribed procedures. Ensure member tickets are entered on the day of service. Attends staff meetings as required. Assists Assistant Manager in developing wine, beer, and cocktail lists. The Bar Manager is expected to work in various areas within the beverage department. Can serve as opening closing or manager on duty. Skills/Qualifications Familiarity with industry’s best practices. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years’ experience in a lead bartending role preferred. Qualities Preferred Good with people. Approachable by staff and members. Team player that will be able to help at other properties if needed for the growth of the whole company of Russell Lands.
