Nephrologist

The Nephrologist provides specialized kidney care at the Blackfeet Service Unit on a part-time PRN basis, working approximately three consecutive days per month. The role involves evaluating and managing patients with kidney diseases, primarily diabetes-related and hypertension-associated conditions, serving an adult patient population. The physician will conduct patient consultations, collaborate minimally with limited support staff, and utilize existing nephrology templates within the electronic health record system. Orientation and familiarization with clinical systems are required at the start of the assignment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Medical degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Experience managing adult patients with kidney diseases including diabetes-related and hypertensive nephropathy.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and nephrology-specific templates.
• Ability to work independently with limited specialist collaboration.

• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams including RNs, health technicians, and advanced practice providers.
• Familiarity with outpatient nephrology clinic operations and patient throughput management.
• Previous experience with kidney disease patient populations in rural or community hospital settings.

• Part-time PRN position requiring approximately three consecutive clinic days per month.
• Initial orientation day(s) required for system training and clinic familiarization.
• Clinic hours are approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break.
• No onsite dialysis or procedures such as biopsies or catheter management are performed.
• Minimal administrative responsibilities; most support is provided by clinic staff.

• Clinic days scheduled consecutively, typically Tuesday through Thursday.
• Three days per month commitment with potential quick return after orientation.
• Work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour lunch break each day.
