Location Detail 100 Grand Street New Britain (10126) Position Details The Hospital of Central Connecticut is hiring a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the General Surgery team, which covers a wide variety of subspecialties. The successful candidate will be responsible for various functions including first assisting in the OR, admissions, discharges, rounding, bedside procedures, and surgery consults. APPs will work in collaboration with several surgeons. The service currently covers General Surgery, Thoracic, Vascular, ENT, Colorectal, Urology, Breast, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology and Plastic Surgery. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
