Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Registered Nurse based in Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized care to patients with various cancer diagnoses, including lymphoma, leukemia, hematology conditions, and radiation oncology patients. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, acute care setting, utilizing EMR documentation and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 1900 with a minimum of 36 hours per week, alternating weekends and every other holiday.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or proof of application, BLS certification (AHA), ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, at least 1 year of nursing experience, and experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications.
• Experience with IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens and handling precautions, monitoring for medication side effects, and understanding of set-rate drips such as heparin and chemotherapy.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) using Epic Beacon, and experience giving IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy medications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology, knowledge of radiation oncology patients, and familiarity with telemetry monitoring (Phillips monitors).
• Duties: Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy, monitor patient responses, troubleshoot equipment such as Cpap and Bipap, and collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides.
• Float: Nurses may be floated to general medical-surgical care as needed, with all float episodes lasting 4 hours or more.
• Dress Code: No specific scrubs required; unit-specific orientation is 24-36 hours.
• Start Date: 08/17/2026.
