Full-time

$28-$32/HR

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physical therapists in developing treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance

• Assist physical therapists in developing treatment plans

• Observe residents and write progress reports

• Evaluate residents' capability to function independently

• Assist residents in carrying out specific exercises

• Treat residents with various techniques, such as stretching and massage

• Help residents use necessary equipment and devices

• Educate residents on proper exercise techniques to strengthen muscles and improve mobility

• Maintain resident confidentiality by monitoring confidential information processing

• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements

• Contribute to team effort

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program

• Current New York State PTA License

• Experience is a plus
