What You'll Do
As a key partner to Finance and Operations leadership, you will play a critical role in strengthening cost visibility, improving margins, and supporting business growth.
Cost Accounting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain standard costing models (labor, materials, overhead)
- Analyze manufacturing variances and provide actionable recommendations
- Support month-end close activities (inventory, COGS, production reporting)
- Deliver margin and profitability analysis by product, customer, and program
Inventory & Manufacturing Partnership
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure accurate BOMs and routings
- Support cycle counts and physical inventory processes
- Analyze inventory trends (turns, excess, obsolescence)
- Ensure compliance with inventory controls in a regulated (FDA/ISO) environment
Pricing & Business Support
- Partner with Sales and Program teams on quoting and pricing strategies
- Evaluate financial impact of new product introductions (NPI)
- Identify cost drivers and cost reduction opportunities
Process Improvement & Systems
- Improve cost accounting processes and internal controls
- Support ERP system enhancements and optimization
- Help build KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools for operational efficiency
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal policies
- Support internal/external audits and documentation
- Maintain strong internal controls aligned with best practices
Qualifications
What You Bring
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–7 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
- Experience in medical device, life sciences, or regulated environments preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in: standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, COGS and margin analysis
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Mindset & Impact
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable partnering cross-functionally with Operations & Supply Chain
- Able to translate financial data into clear business insights
- Continuous improvement mindset with interest in automation and AI-driven efficiency
