Role Summary Harbinger Motors is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Analyst to lead budgeting and forecasting for the Bill of Material (BOM), Engineering NRE and Tooling. This position is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that are critical to achieving company goals for our current product line, while also working hand‑in‑hand with Engineering on our next generation of products. A successful candidate will be able to create visibility and highlight opportunities from the numbers, build strong relationships with technical leaders, and be self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude. Responsibilities Become the BOM subject matter expert; analyze changes and report variances Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, providing clear and concise summaries of BOM costs and impacts Lead strategic BOM initiatives, partnering closely with Engineering, from DRE’s to the CTO, to understand financial tradeoffs for proposed design changes Partner with Engineering leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and compiling targets for both BOM and investment for future programs Partner with the Technical Program Management team to understand changes in the BOM and analyze engineering change orders (ECO) by participating on the Change Review Board (CRB) Coordinate with Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure data integrity in the BOM is accurate Continuously improve BOM management processes and tools to increase accuracy and efficiency Perform ad‑hoc analysis as necessary to support leadership in decision‑making, transforming data into actionable insights and recommendations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business with an emphasis in Finance 5+ years of relevant Finance experience, preferably in Product Development Intellectually curious: seek to understand the why behind the numbers Detail‑oriented: value precision and accuracy Critical thinker: consider problems and solutions from all angles Creative problem‑solver: identify obstacles and present viable solutions Highly organized: manage multiple projects with tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems Early‑stage Stock Options Robust Retirement Savings (401(k), HSA, FSA) Annual Vacation Bonus Wellness & Fertility Benefits Cell Phone Stipend Complimentary Meals & Stocked Kitchens $90,000 - $120,000 USD Harbinger is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
