Responsibilities Title: Occupational Therapist Location/work environment: In facility Reporting structure: Reporting to Director of Rehab As an Occupational Therapist, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will assess patient needs, develop their recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy. You are a healer and a helper, who designs a program that restores, reinforces, and enhances the patient’s physical abilities and independence. You adapt to the needs of each patient and incorporate a variety of settings, working collaboratively with peers while supporting referrals as needed. A key part of the role is teaching patients and caregivers the skills they need to promote independence and productivity. Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards. Must have initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Must hold a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice.
