Sr. Accounting Analyst

About This Role We are seeking an established Accounting professional to perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards related to general accounting, general ledger, projects, and/or government accounting. Qualified candidates should have experience compiling and maintaining accounting statements, reports, general ledger accounts, cost revenue reports, balance sheets, and/or bank statement reconciliations to ensure smooth functioning of the processes. Key Responsibilities Participate in the month‑end closing process Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Provide accounting support to field organization Maintain accounting standard work documentation Perform cost accounting functions and associated entries necessary for proper revenue recognitions or deferrals Provide balance sheet fluctuation analysis Prepare and submit financial data (including HFM supplemental data) for corporate reporting Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Tax packages as requested by Carrier Tax Department Maintain a strong internal controls environment Provide inputs into incentive calculations Special ad‑hoc projects as assigned by the manager Required Qualifications AA/AS Degree 3+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or Business 1+ years working in a services or manufacturing environment Adaptable to fast‑paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy within a diverse organization Proficient with MS Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel including ability to do complex formulas, pivot tables, and reports Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and Python is a plus Ability to work with minimal supervision Demonstrated knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively to management in both written form and orally Strong PC skills including experience with ERP Applications such as M3 Lawson or SAP, HFM Strong attention to detail and delivering a quality work product on time #J-18808-Ljbffr
