Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Matura Farrington is working closely with a highly successful, well-established law firm in Century City that is seeking an Accountant to join its collaborative and experienced accounting team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a sharp accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work and wants to contribute meaningfully in a collegial, high-performing environment. In this role, the Accountant will work closely with the Controller and CFO across a wide range of responsibilities, including general accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the firm’s financial records and supporting strategic financial initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations Prepare and post journal entries and accruals Review the general ledger for coding and compliance with tax deductibility Assist with month-end and year-end close activities Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects Compile, analyze, and present internal financial reports Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects Qualifications: 3-7 years of hands-on accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks Treasury and cash management experience required Strong technical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines This is an ideal role for a confident and experienced accounting professional who is looking to join a respected law firm with a stable team, mentorship, and room to develop.
