Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining the cleaning and sanitization standards of dishes, glassware, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and other kitchen equipment using manual and machine cleaning methods.
• Ensures that the kitchen and service areas are kept clean, organized, and ready for efficient operation.
• Operates the dishwasher to clean and disinfect dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Hand washes delicate items and larger kitchen tools as needed.
• Ensures that all washed items are spotless, free of food residue, and properly dried before storage.
• Properly stores clean items in designated areas.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the washing and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Organizes and replenishes cleaning supplies as needed.
• Assists kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks during peak periods.
• Disposes of kitchen waste and trash according to restaurant standards.
• Ensures that all equipment and facilities are used and maintained safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Works closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes and utensils.
• Communicates effectively with team members to maintain smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
• Participates in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Follows all company safety and security policies; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
• Completes safety certifications and training.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Ensures that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintains the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Performs other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to bend, squat, stand for long periods, stretch, reach above and below, including bending, twisting, pulling, and crouching
• Ability to navigate on inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces and lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to perform well under pressure, even with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to communicate in Spanish and English
