Advanced Practice - Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)

Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP / AC-PNP)
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts/week; nights and weekends (7:00P7:30A primary need; some 7:00A7:30P). Preferred blocks: Fri/Sun or Sat/Mon nights, or Sat/Sun.
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $120 - $125/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diegobased medical staffing agency, is hiring a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment with a leading pediatric hospital in Boston, MA. You'll work within the anesthesia department's pain division on the inpatient pain service managing post-surgical pain, cancer pain, and sickle cell patients, including those on PCAs and epidurals. Roughly half the census is critically ill or weaning from sedation, so strong assessment skills and clear, empathic communication are essential.
Requirements:
- Certified Pediatric NP or Pediatric Acute Care NP with relevant pain/inpatient experience
- Active Massachusetts license required (no licensing assistance; IMLC not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years experience
- PALS, BLS, active CSR and DEA
- EPIC experience preferred
- Vaccines: MMR and Varicella required; COVID and Flu required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
