Nursing Assistant – Healthcare

Schedule: Full-Time, 3 shifts of 12 hours per week, including weekends and holidays

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 27 weeks

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Post Secondary Education in Health or Human Services
• BLS certification required through AHA/RQI
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform various patient care activities and support services to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
• Assist with vital signs, activities of daily living, and nourishment needs as per the care plan.
• Respond to call lights, reposition patients, and provide skin care as necessary.
• Document care and rehabilitation activities in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Communicate effectively during shift changes and report any changes in patient status to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe and healing environment consistent with organizational values.

Compliance / Notes:

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
