Stationary Engineer

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Stationary Engineer for a top government services client supporting a critical facility in Gaithersburg, MD. This individual will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex building systems within a Central Utility Plant. The engineer will work rotating 12-hour shifts alongside a skilled operations team, respond to emergency situations, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensure accurate system logging and reporting. This is a hands-on, mission-critical role ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in a structured, high-reliability environment.
NOTE: Would start on and stay on day shift while waiting for badge to be processed.

Skills and Requirements
Current Maryland 1st Class Stationary Engineer License
EPA Universal (CFC) Certification
5+ years experience as a Stationary Engineer
Hands-on experience with:
High-pressure steam boilers
Chillers
Cooling towers
VAV systems
RTUs
Replacing pumps and motors
Strong troubleshooting experience with large mechanical systems
Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
Eligible for Public Trust clearance
