Human Resources Specialist

Salary: USD25 - USD30 per hour We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support the daily operations of our HR department. This position plays a key role in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and personnel record management. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, maintain confidentiality, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications. Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation programs. Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries. Support employee relations by responding to questions and addressing workplace concerns. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Process employment verifications, personnel actions, and HR documentation. Assist with performance management processes and employee development initiatives. Support payroll administration by tracking employee changes and ensuring accurate records. Coordinate training programs and maintain training documentation. Generate HR reports and metrics as needed. Participate in special HR projects and continuous process improvement efforts. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of human resources, recruiting, benefits, or administrative experience. Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent). Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems. Experience supporting a multi-site or growing organization.
