International Operations Manager

Key Accountabilities Manage and oversee international air, ocean, and warehouse operation processes and strategies Ensure staff are working in standard operating workflow Train and certify new employees on all performance standards Ensure staff are meeting financial and operational KPI targets to achieve monthly budget expectations Identify client and product volume trends in monthly budget performance Oversee zero‑defect onboarding operations process for new clients Review and analyze quote margin trends, win/loss ratio, and work with cross‑functional teams to improve Research and respond to any operational escalations Ensure staff managing accounts payable discrepancies timely Engage with clients for collections efforts as required and escalated Develop relationship with top clients Obtain CargoWise Specialist Certification and understand how to fully operate in CargoWise Responsible for setting up client‑facing tracking reports and/or internal tracking reports as required for managing the business Ensure staff are operating compliantly (FMC, TSA, ISF, IC…) Comply with SEKO’s C‑TPAT Security Profile and uphold SEKO’s core values Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace Follow instructions for personal safety and health and that of others, adhering to safe work procedures Cooperate with management in fulfilling legislative obligations Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements Analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Communicate and interact effectively with multi‑functional and diverse backgrounds and present information to managers, employees, and customers PC literate with intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web‑based and job‑specific software applications Demonstrated experience in managing the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting, and monitoring expenses) Demonstrated leadership skills in influencing departments and implementing and managing change Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities Understand project‑management methodologies and manage multiple projects Apply change‑management principles, problem analysis, risk evaluation, and problem‑resolution methods Collaborative decision‑making skills and ability to explore alternatives and reach outcomes that gain support from all stakeholders Maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition, handling stress appropriately Use appropriate methods and flexible interpersonal style to build a cohesive team and facilitate completion of team goals Delegate authority effectively to meet organizational and strategic goals Lead by example, putting customers first Develop and sustain positive business relationships Education & Experience Minimum: High school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding Strong time‑management, people skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability Management skills and ability to drive career growth within the team Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn new software and systems Preferred: College degree or 3–5 years of related experience and CargoWise experience Compensation Base salary range: $104,100 – $148,700 per year. Eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based on location, competencies, education, experience, performance, and potential for revenue generation.
