Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00/hour

Job Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator helps keep materials moving safely and on time in a busy steel fabrication shop. This role is responsible for scheduling shipments and deliveries, checking incoming materials, preparing shipping paperwork, and working with the shop team, vendors, and drivers to make sure everything is accurate and organized.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, construction, or a similar role
• Experience with shipping paperwork such as bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders
• Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and data entry
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Safety-minded and dependable
• Experience in steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing is a plus
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus (training provided if needed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries
• Make sure materials are ready before they are shipped
• Prepare shipping paperwork and delivery documents
• Receive and inspect incoming materials
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments
• Enter shipping and receiving information into the system
• Help coordinate safe loading and unloading of trucks
• Keep the shipping and storage areas clean and organized
• Assist with inventory counts and material organization
• Communicate with drivers, vendors, and the shop team to keep deliveries on schedule
