Our team is responsible for supporting SQL Server, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Azure SQL DB. In this role, you will collaborate with Application Development teams to build resilient database solutions that meet the demands of our large-scale applications.What’s in it for you: $111,000 – $139,000 base salary, benefits package, and company perksAdvancement opportunities with structured career pathsAccess to the latest emerging technologiesReimbursement for continuous education and technical trainingOffers a hybrid work environment with the ability to work remotely 40 hours per monthCertified Great Place to Work and voted a 2019-2026 Computerworld Best Places to Work in IT Key responsibilities:Design, automate, and monitor highly available and scalable database solutionsOptimize database performance, tuning queries, indexes, and schemas for SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Azure SQL DBPartner with Application Development teams to guide best practices for database architecture and performanceDevelop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for database automation and configuration managementEnhance monitoring, alerting, and observability to facilitate proactive issue resolutionImprove database security, backups, and disaster recovery strategiesSupport CI/CD processes for database changes to ensure reliability and complianceTroubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements in database resilienceStay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancementsOn-call, but also working on ways to avoid on-callQualifications & experience:5+ years of experience in database administration, reliability engineering, or database engineeringDeep expertise in SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Azure SQL DBExperience working in high-transaction, large-scale application environmentsStrong proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or KubernetesKnowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automationExperience implementing database monitoring, logging, and observability solutionsStrong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and database-as-a-service (DBaaS)Expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, and indexing strategiesExperience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database managementStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with developers and engineers on other teamsPreferred qualifications:Experience with containerized database workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or DatadogCertifications in SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or AzureExperience with multi-region and globally distributed databasesWhere you'll be: 4289 Ivy Pointe Boulevard, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245Employment visa sponsorship is unavailable for this position.
